LAST UPDATED: 21 June 2010 [posted a link for the Power DNA Project] [on ancestry.com, if you have a world deluxe membership, someone has posted a tree of POWER that has a Mary Power born 11 March 1866, and married Richard Bird in Ireland. We were missing that date.]

ORIGIN: The POWER name is one of Norman origin from the old French Pohier. There was a La Poer who arrived in Ireland with Strongbow in the 12th century in County Waterford.
