TOWN OF DÜRING, GERMANY: Yes, that's right, there is a town in Germany called Düring. It is just south of Bremerhaven, near Loxstedt. Many thanks to Robert Düring of Salzgitter, Germany, for his assistance.
You know, it is not enough just to find the town on the map, but I also had to have a streetmap of the town, which follows (thanks to Frau Jaroni of Loxstedt):
